Dear Anyone,
I am 24 and have been in a relationship for 3 1/2 years with a great guy (I'll call him "Bob"). Bob and I have our issues, but in general, I am happy and consider him as close to me as my own family at this point. However, there is a very close friend from my past (I'll call him "John") who I slept with for the first time just before Bob and I got together, but who wasn't ready to commit to me since he was just getting out of a relationship. I decided to start dating Bob, and kept John as my friend, but about a year ago, I visited John at his new home in another state and cheated on Bob with him. I told Bob, and I'm not allowed to talk to John anymore, but occasionally I will call him when I'm drunk and we'll send each other text messages saying we like each other. I even have dreams about John. I don't know what to do - break up with Bob, and risk losing something great, for John, who might not even want something? (John says he might, but he won't even talk about it unless I break up with Bob). Thanks.
