Dear Anyone,
I am 31 and my boyfriend is 34, we have been together almost 2 years and love each other very much. My mom and every one in my family love him and want to know when the wedding is(even his family is asking). They keep asking us, the problem is I am not working right now. He is working. His income isn't enough to support both of us. I live with my parents and he lives in a down stairs apartment. His parents live in the apartment above. He said if we get engaged he doesn't want us to be going to both our houses. He is waiting for me to get a job so that we can get a apartment together, which is very expensive these days. His parents are talking about selling their house but are waiting on him to make a move with me and I feel bad because I am not sure how long it will be before I get a job. He doesn't want to be like my friends who are engaged and live together, and wait like 8 or 9 years to get married. If I don't get a job and his parents decides to sell, he might have to go live with his sister in California, he can't afford to stay here and get a apartment on his own. Its very expensive and I would have to go with him. All our family and friends are here and I lived here all my life and so has he. Its a huge step to take. Please advice
