Dear Anyone,

I've been in a really abusive relationship for the past 2 1/2 years. Recently an old love interest walked back into my life. I started having an affair - everything was great. The old love interest seemed like the better option. I was working on breaking up with my abusive boyfriend when the love interest told me that he has a daughter and that she and her mother are coming to see him. He made me believe that he wanted to be with me and now he tells me this crap. Question 1: Should I break up with the abusive boyfriend? Question 2: Should I stay away from the affair or try and work it out?
