Dear Anyone,

I recently went into my manager's office and demanded a raise. Two weeks later, I got it. I deserved it, but of course, I feel indebted to my manager. She really went to bat for me with upper management. So, do I need to do something to show my gratitude, or is that unnecessary?

WHAT'S YOUR ADVICE?

Vote for Option A
A:  Write your manager a thank you letter. It doesn't hurt to have your gratitude "on file," does it?
Vote for Option B
B:  Just take her to lunch. Quick, cheap and painless.
Vote for Option C
C:  You need to make a significant gesture. Buy her a pair of theatre tickets or a fancy bottle of wine.
Vote for Option D
D:  Don't do anything. You did the work to get the raise, not your manager.
