Dear Anyone,

My daughter is 22, but she hasn’t outgrown her love of stuffed animals, especially teddy bears. She has so many covering her bed that when she can’t be bothered to move all of them, she’ll just throw a few pillows on the ground and sleep there. She still lives with my husband and I, and unlike most kids who are chomping at the bit to get out of the house, she seems perfectly happy living with us. We don’t mind having her around, and we’re not planning to kick her out any time soon, but we’re wondering if our daughter has an immaturity problem. She still watches a lot of animated movies, and doesn’t much care for adult conversations about politics or religion or the news. For some reason she just doesn’t seem to want to grow up. Is this normal?

WHAT'S YOUR ADVICE?

Vote for Option A
A:  22 is borderline. Don’t start worrying unless she keeps this up for a few more years.
Vote for Option B
B:  Your daughter has hobbies, not problems. There’s nothing wrong with collecting stuffed animals and watching cartoons.
Vote for Option C
C:  It sounds like your daughter has some psychological problems. You should take her to see a counselor.
Vote for Option D
D:  Your daughter is just being babied at home. Set her up with her own apartment, and she’ll learn to grow up fast.
